Vindstad Dock

Vindstad is a true gem among the fjords of Moskenesøya, and it is here, in the Lofoten Islands, where I currently live and create my paintings. Accessible by sea via the ferry from Reine, or after a long walk through the mountains, this dock marks the entrance to a small village where only a few traditional houses remain and life unfolds quietly beneath the towering mountains.

Silence, a deep connection with nature, and with oneself become inevitable here, turning this place into a source of sublime inspiration and beauty. The seasons —with their changes in light, climate, and color, from the months of darkness, the Northern Lights, and that soft bluish glow, to the slow return of the sun and the endless light of summer— profoundly shape the experience of living and creating in this environment.

From this place I create my Art, my paintings, and the entire set of Installations. It is the heart from which I direct the whole project and where I continue working toward completing this art trail for the summer of 2026. The wooden easels that support the aluminium panels are also designed, crafted, and transported from here to the different locations that form the Lofoten Open Air Art Trail. Every detail of the installations has its origin —and its ongoing development— in Vindstad.
